NPCI to launch PIN-based withdraw cards by March

National Payment Council of India (NPCI), set adult by a Reserve Bank of India to foster label payments system, will launch a RuPay withdraw label in March. RuPay is a country’s initial domestic remuneration label network and aims to compare existent remuneration facilitators such as Visa and MasterCard and yield withdraw and credit label services.

“The countdown has begun and around 20-25 Mar we will launch RuPay withdraw card,” says A.P. Hota, arch executive officer and handling executive of NPCI. “It will be a personal marker series (PIN)-based withdraw label and not a signature-based card.”

At present, RuPay programmed teller appurtenance (ATM) cards are accessible with a few farming banks.
