Man arrested for suspected loansharking activities

SINGAPORE: A 25-year-old male has been arrested for suspected impasse in loansharking activities.
The male was stopped after he was found working suspiciously during an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) nearby Woodlands Civic Centre.
Authorities found loanshark-related outfit on a think including one mobile phone containing debtors’ records, S$360 in cash, a smoke-stack of ATM transaction profits and 4 ATM cards.
The think is believed to be a debtor-turned-runner who assisted loansharks by behaving ATM account transactions.
He will be charged in justice on 19 January.
